In 2024, Optegra became a co-shareholder in Iris Eye Clinics. This marked the next step in the further professionalization of Iris Eye Clinics and its planned expansion of the number of clinics in the Netherlands and Belgium.
In October 2025, Iris Eye Clinics—together with Optegra—was acquired by EssilorLuxottica, a multinational company specializing in ophthalmic technology and hardware, such as glasses and lenses.
